  • Handy Brew uses gravity filtering; when placed on your teacup or mug it releases the brewed liquid without any tea leaves or herbs falling into your mug.

  • Capacity : 600ml
  • Material : BPA-Free Eastman Tritan Plastic, Stainless Steel. All food safe
  • Handy Brew will fit on any cup or mug with a 9cm diameter
  • Glass Mug : Made with borosilicate glass and holds 400ml. Holds heat much better than normal glass
Brewing Instructions for hot tea

Our brewing suggestions are per serve (200ml). If you'd like to make a full 600ml in your handy brew you'll be adding 2 good tablesspoons for herbals and 1 and a half tablespoons for tea leaf - black, green, oolong teas.

  • Add 1 tbsp per 200ml of your favourite tea or blend to your Handy brew
  • Bring freshly drawn filtered water to a boil in your kettle
  • Add the boiled water to your handy brew (or correct temperatures for certin black tea and all green teas).
  • Brew your tea or blend to your desired taste or brewing guide reccommendation
  • Sit your Handy Brew over your glass mug
  • Sip and enjoy
Brewing Instructions for iced tea

When brewing iced tea, we always need to be a little more generous with adding more tea. We suggest this so the tea is nice and strong so when the ice melts, you still have great flavour. However, once the ice melts, it will dilute the tea flavour- no one likes weak iced tea!


Instant iced tea

  • Add 3 tbsp of your favourite tea or blend to your Handy brew
  • Bring freshly drawn filtered water to a boil in your kettle
  • Add the boiled water to your handy brew
  • Brew for a good 7 minutes for herbals and 5 minutes for tea leaf blends.
  • Add sweetener if desired
  • Fill your glass mug ice
  • Sit your Handy Brew over mug 
  • Sip and enjoy instant iced tea


If you want to get your iced tea ready for the following day, try cold brewing. Cold brewing produces a sweeter more smoother tasting iced tea.

Cold brewed iced tea

  • Add 3 tbsp of your favourite tea or blend to your Handy Brew
  • Fill your Handy Brew with cold filtered water
  • Stir to make sure all leaves are wet and close lid
  • Put Handy Brew in the fridge over night or for 16 hours
  • When its ready, fill your mug with ice
  • Sit Handy Brew onto of the mug
  • Sip and enjoy smooth sweet iced tea!
