Properties Of Ingredients:
ORGANIC PEPPERMINT
An excellent refreshing herb that is great for digestive purposes. Peppermint is made up of about 50 percent of a volatile oil known as menthol. The leaves along with this essential oil can help stimulate digestive flow and production of bile. It can also help with nausea, sensitive digestion, cramping and irritable bowel syndrome.
ORGANIC PINEAPPLE
The sweet healer! Pineapple is a good source of vitamins A, B and C. It contains an enzyme called bromelain, which can help aid in the digestion of protein and can relieve an upset stomach. Bromelain also has anti-inflammatory properties which can help with digestive problems and arthritis sufferers. Other enzymes found in pineapple are amylase, which can assist in digesting starch, and lipase, which digests fats.
ORGANIC FENNEL
This aromatic herb is well-known for various digestive problems, including bloating, intestinal gas, and heartburn. Fennel has anti-inflammatory and carminative properties along with iron, fibre, vitamin C and a high concentration of volatile oils.
ORGANIC SPEARMINT
Spearmint is considered gentler than peppermint and is also an excellent herb for digestive complaints. Menthol is also present in spearmint but contains much less than its cousin peppermint.
ORGANIC LIQUORICE ROOT
The Greek name for this plant is "Sweet root", and that it truly is. Liquorice root should not be mistaken with the flavour of the confectionery liquorice, which is in fact flavoured with anise oil. Liquorice root is an excellent anti-inflammatory, as well as helping protect and heal your gastrointestinal tract
ORGANIC CALENDULA PETALS
This beautiful plant bears brilliant yellow or orange flowers that shine like the sun. Calendula is said to have anti-inflammatory properties that have been traditionally used to reduce inflammation of the stomach, throat, mouth and skin. -
